After a period of 20 years I saw a new version of Don – the chase begins directed by Farhan Akhtar. As a kid I had seen Amitabh dancing on the tunes of “Khaike Pan banaras wala” along with the charming Zeenat Aman in his film Don which was realeased in 1978, directed by Chandra Barot. The film had lead characters played by Amitabh as Vijay, Zeenat Aman,Pran and Helen. Well that was the excellent thriller movie of 1978.
This new release of Don by Farhan Akhtar is again excellent. It’s a very fast and furious kind of movie which Farhan has comeout with. Hope this generation likes it. The film do has look of  a hollywood eeestyle. The lead Don character is played by Shahrukh Khan and other lead characters played by Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Kareena Kapoor [special appearance for the song "Yeh mera dil"], Arjun Rampal and Isha Koppikar.
Majority of the film is exellently shot at Malaysia. You can have a close look of the Petronas Twin Towers in the movie. Well the story is same as of the earlier one. The film starts with the drug trade which is on boom and the Malaysian Intelligence and Anti-Narcotic Department are called upon for assistance by their Indian counterparts. The department is informed that the drug gang has moved to Kaula Lumpur. The Indian Intelligence squad is head by DCP Desilva [ Boman Irani] who wants to find out the main drug Lord Singhania.
But all the work of drug deal is carried out by Singhania’s sharp minded Don [ Shahrukh Khan] Don is very sharp and fast in his moves. Don’s gang consits of Narang[Pawan Malhotra], Anita [Isha Kopikar] and Roma [Priyanka Chopra who joins to take revenge of her brother whom Don had killed]. The first half was quite boring for me. But the later part of the movie is quite fast. The music by Shankar,Ehsan and Loy was ok according to me. Not worth of buying a CD or downloading.
But the main part of the movie is at the end. So if you are going for this movie don’t leave your seat till you watch the end. I hope Farhan may come out with the next version after seeing the end.

Recently I downloaded the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom beta version 4.1. It’s a new tool from Adobe which will help photographers in giving their photographs a new look on the web. The new features of Photoshop Lightroom include : 1] a very good user interface. 2] Better exposure and tone curves. 3] Enhanced Slideshow, Web and print modules.
This version of Photoshop Lightroom works on Windows XP with SP2 and a Pentium 4 Processor. I found the software very interesting while working on it. I have created a photo gallery and submitted it to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom gallery. Thanks to Adobe for uploading my photogallery on the Photoshop Lightroom gallery.
