Google spreadsheets

Google spreadsheet

I got a mail invitation from Google to try the new Google spreadsheets. It’s really cool.
You can start from scratch and do all the basics, including changing the number format, sorting by columns, and adding formulas. In today’s world when everything seems to be online we have the same features with Google spreadsheets. Just enter the email addresses of the people you want to share a given document, and then send them a message.People with whom you share a given spreadsheet can access it as soon as they sign in. The cool feature I liked is the real time editing. Multiple people can edit or view your spreadsheet at the same time as you – their names will appear in an on-screen chat window.

Monsoon hits Mumbai

mumbai

Finally the south-west monsoon today reached Mumbai. Couple of days the sky was quite cloudy. The sun hardly showing himself from behind the  black rainy clouds. This time monsoon has reached Mumbai before time. As I was looking at the sky from the window were the black monsoon clouds had started to gather over to hit Mumbai, I got an SMS on my cell “Heavy rains expected in the next 48 hours in Mumbai and surrounding areas”.
And the whole natures play started at around 4.00clock with heavy thunders.
Well this time the first monsoon rains have really hit hard. I was stuck up in the traffic on the streets of Mumbai for 3 hours. I saw water logging at places like Marol and some nearby areas. Mumbaikars eagerly waiting for the buses and trains to reach home. But this first rain almost made it impoosible to reach home on time.
According to the weather department heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at a few places over the western coast of Maharashtra.

No matter we as humans develop ourself in terms of knowledge, technology etc, nature has its own force. We can’t cross the borders of nature.

Last but once again I would say –
Love and Respect the nature, wild animals, forests and try to preserve and respect our historical monuments.
